These babies have never really gone out of style. I mean I remember my mom always buying me denim skirts when I was little. Then in college and my 20s they got a little shorter. Ok a lot shorter — I loved those denim mini skirts haha. Then came the work appropriate denim skirt when I started working and now enter today’s version of the closet staple denim skirt. A bit distressed, fitted and so on trend right now.
You would think this closet staple would be easy to find but honestly I had been looking for months but couldn’t find one I liked. The zipper either bunched out or they were too distressed or too tight. When I went to the Evereve event 2 weeks ago I spotted this one and it was literally calling my name.
This denim skirt is made by Kut from the Kloth. I should’ve known it would be good. They make such good denim. My beloved denim jacket seen in this post and also here is made by them. Quality denim that doesn’t break the bank.
This denim skirt is perfect with heels, wedges, flats and will go right into fall when I pair it with sweaters and booties.
I’m also obsessing over this $29 top from Nordstrom. It has the cutest ruffle sleeves and the front twists at the bottom which you can’t really see with the way it lays on the skirt. This one definitely spruces up your regular T shirt game. It comes in a few colors and as of post time it’s fully stocked. I went with a small but probably should’ve sized down to an XS.
Short and sweet today! See you back here Friday for my first Instagram roundup!
