1. LIVING PROOF RESTORE INSTANT PROTECTION here and here and here
This is my must have spray for protecting my hair from styling. I use it before I blow dry, curl or flat iron my hair. You can use it on dry and wet hair before applying heat. If you aren’t using protection on your hair you are damaging your hair. This is nice and lightweight!
2. INVISIBOBBLE here
I HATE when I tie my hair back and get that crease in my hair from the rubber band. Plus hair bands are stressful and can cause hair breakage. These little bands are like a phone cord that wrap your hair and leave no crease at all. They come in a range of colors.
3. KEVIN MURPHY HYDRATE ME WASH AND RINSE
This has been my go to shampoo and conditioner for years. Thanks to my amazing hairdresser, Alicia, she turned me onto this brand years ago. This wash and conditioner is super hydrating for your locks. It’s sulphate free and really adds great shine.
4. REMINGTON CERAMIC PEARL HAIR WAND here
This hair wand gets long, loose waves for my hair. It comes with a glove so you don’t burn your hand. Takes a little while to get used to using a wand over a curling iron but use the glove so you don’t burn yourself. I like a wand over a curling iron because I get looser curls and no crease from where the iron clamps. There are higher quality wands out there but this is a good one to start off with.
5. NOT YOUR MOTHERS DRY SHAMPOO here
We all know you aren’t supposed to wash your hair everyday. I always struggled with this because I work out everyday and I sweat A LOT! After a workout I’ll dry my hair on a cool setting and then spray my roots with this dry shampoo. There are better dry shampoos out there but this one works pretty well and doesn’t leave a white residue on my hair. I like this one too because it’s fragrance free. I definitely can get an extra day out of washing my hair by using this.
6. LIVING PROOF RESTORE MASK TREATMENT here and here
Probably my FAVORITE product in this list. If you aren’t using a hair mask yet you are missing out! I use this mask once a week to help restore my strands, make my hair stronger to prevent breakage and add shine. I shampoo like normal then use this in place of conditioner. I place a thick layer on my hair and let it sit for at least 5 minutes and then rinse. My hair looks and feels so amazing after I use it. I can definitely go longer between washes when I use it too. Bonus: NO sulfates or parabens.
7. JOICO COLOR BALANCE PURPLE here and here
My hair is naturally dark but the coloring is ombre with ashy grays and blondes to it. The purple shampoo is a must to prevent the lighter strands from getting brassy. I rotate this in a few times a week and my color definitely lasts longer in between salon visits.
8. T3 FEATHERWEIGHT 2 HAIR DRYER here
In the past I never used expensive hair dryers. This past year though I was in the market for a new dryer. I decided to splurge and get a better one. This one is SO GOOD! It’s lightweight so my arm doesn’t get tired from drying (I have thick hair)! It is so gentle and doesn’t cause my hair to frizz. When compared to lower end dryers there is definitely a BIG difference when I started using this one.
9. J. CREW BOW HAIR TIE here
It’s ponytail season! I love the bow on this one. Makes your ponytail look so cute!
Which ones will you try?
And that’s it! Hope you enjoyed my roundup of favorite hair care products.
