I know I’m the not the only one who wants no fuss makeup in the summer. You can just get away with so much less when you have tanned, bronzed skin. Not only that but Summer goes to daycare all summer long but I still let her stay up late with me. Ok ok maybe I’m just not great at getting her to bed early LOL. At any rate I just can’t get myself out of bed in the morning and am forever running late! My makeup is by far what takes me the longest to do in the morning. Enter my favorite summer eyeshadows to go with my favorite bold lips that I posted about last week. Read it here. These are all easy palettes and colors that you can change up daily but can give a soft, summer look. They have colors that can go into night with a more dramatic smoky eye too. Trust me, these are the only colors you need all summer long.
LORAC ‘UNZIPPED GOLD’ EYESHADOW PALETTE here & here
This is my ultimate, favorite, can’t live without summer eyeshadow palette. I love gold and champagne shadows all year but in the summer it’s like everyday, all day. I was always committed to MAC shadows but once I tried Lorac that was it. I converted big time. Their shadows are super pigmented. They have quite a bit of fallout so be sure to tap off your brush before applying. I use every color in this palette but favorites are:
‘Undressed’ Great base
‘Unmuted’ All over lid and in the crease and then add ‘Unleashed’ in the crease and corners. These two together give the most beautiful summer shimmer to the eyes.
For a night out I love ‘Undressed’ with ‘Unafraid’ smudged into the corner.
MAC ‘WARM NEUTRAL’ PALETTE here and here
I’ve had this palette for years and this one I use all year long. They aren’t as pigmented compared to Lorac but they have great colors and this palette is a must for everyday neutral colors.
MAC PIGMENTS here
Another product I have been using for probably close to 5 years. These are great for a pop of color. I pack these pigments all over my lid. The color ‘tan’ is one of my favorites for summer.
MAYBELLINE ‘COLOR TATTOO CONCENTRATED CRAYON’ here
I started using these last year. They are so quick and easy to put on. It’s literally a crayon and I just put a base color on and then color in my lid and crease with these. Very pigmented, intense and inexpensive. My favorite colors are barely beige, gold rush and bronze truffle.
URBAN DECAY ‘EYESHADOW PRIMER POTION’ here
My favorite eyeshadow primer ever. I apply and let dry for a few minutes and then apply shadow. My shadow doesn’t crease and lasts all day with this primer. I rotate between the ‘nude matte’ color and the ‘original.’
ARDELL WISPIES LASHES here
Best falsh lashes that are super inexpensive. I have tried MAC lashes which go for about $20/set. Honestly, these are just as good. Ulta often has buy 1 get 1 free which makes them a steal. I don’t wear falsh lashes daily. Who has the time for that?! But if I’m going out for an event or date night I will and these are my go to.
HOUSE OF LASHES ‘ADHESIVE’ here
Glue makes all the difference when you apply falsh lashes. This glue is insane. I have tried others but this one has great hold.
That wraps up my favorite summer eye products. I linked most of the products for Ulta since MAC is now sold in Ulta! When these two beauty powerhouses came together a few months ago my world just got a little bit better! One stop shopping makes life so much easier!
In a future post I’ll cover foundations, blush and bronzer. I was going to do an entire blog post on all my summer makeup favorites but it’s a lot. I think breaking it down makes it easier to follow. So stay tuned for that!
Enjoy your weekend friends!

Awesome…have fun with the crayons!
Nice picks, Tammy! You got me into lorac palettes a few years back when you mentioned the pro 2 palette. Awesome shadows! The color tattoos are great too. Have you tried the tattoo paints? They last all day and are also pigmented. Looking forward to the rest of this series.
So happy you like the lorac! I’ll have to try the paints! Love those long lasting super pigmented products.
I really like the tip about the wispy lashes. have been wanting to try some but had no idea what to pick. Still a little gunshy, but I appreciate the recommendation and info!
Start with the Ardell. Super inexpensive to learn with.
Thanks!
