#NSALE ITEMS TO WEAR NOW + LIKEtoKNOW.it

Happy Monday friends! I have some exciting news to share today but first let’s get into the #nsale. I am sure by now many of you have shopped the sale and got some great pieces for fall and winter (or you are just sick of hearing about the #nsale LOL). I gotta admit my purchases have me a bit excited for fall outfits, but my mind is still very much into summer! I told you the sale is all about buy now, wear later. But what if your little fashion heart just can’t wait until later? Well you find pieces that you can buy now, wear now. This outfit from the #nsale are all pieces that you can start wearing now.

RED BANK TRADITIONS+ JORD WATCH GIVEAWAY

Traditions. We all have them from when we grew up, but I absolutely love making my own with my little family. As Summer gets older, Erik and I find ourselves creating these little traditions around the holidays and during the summer. One of my favorite traditions we have done for the past 3 summers is our family evening out in Red Bank.

#NSALE MUST HAVE SWEATERS + BOOTS

After probably the best beach day of the season this weekend it seems a bit crazy to be discussing sweaters and boots. However, when you have a sale as good as the #nsale that includes all NEW cold weather items you gotta temporarily put a hold on buying maxi rompers and flip flops and stock up on cold weather necessities. GASP before we know it the leaves will fall, the chilly mornings will come and we will want to be reaching for scarves and booties. And I don’t know about you but I want to start off the season with some fresh items.

So take a temporary jump into the fall and winter season with me and let’s talk about some of my favorite sweaters and boots that I scored from the #nsale. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. THIS SALE WAS SO GOOD!

MY FAVORITE BASICS FROM THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

Happy dance! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale boxes have started rolling in. I won’t dare post a photo of what my front porch looked like yesterday. It was absurd. I think I heard my UPS guy saying some not so nice things as he walked back down my driveway. Ok not really. I mean surely I can’t be the only girl in my area who ordered a boatload of stuff from the #nsale. Erik man. I gotta say you are taking this all so well. I sound like a broken record telling him, “Don’t worry. It’s not all staying.”

I am gonna break this down into a couple of posts. My deliveries come at night and it’s hard to get everything photographed. This weekend I’ll be able to put more outfits together but for now I wanted to get some Nordstrom Anniversary Sale basics out there for you to see. The only way to do this and get it to you quickly was with selfies. I promise lots of outfit posts coming soon!

So onto the basics. I got so many closet staples from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale that can be worn starting now and I know I’ll be incorporating these into outfits all year long.

BP LEOPARD SCARF

Major obsession. So light, yet fluffy. Perfect for wearing now. Sadly it sold out fast, but hopefully they will restock it. Keep checking and if it doesn’t get restocked no worries. I have listed a few other great scarves.

BP RIPPED CROP SKINNY JEANS

*TOP PICK* I was nervous about these jeans, but they fit great. They are cropped. Clearly not cropped on my 5’2 frame but that makes the length perfect for me. Love the distressing (like I need another pair of distressed jeans LOL) and the frayed hem that is so in right now. These jeans are in all the pictures below too.

*TOP PICK* These booties are one of my favorite picks! Low heel, yummy color. Just perfection! I model them a few pictures down. Fit true to size (TTS).

*TOP PICK* At $15.90 I knew I had to get this T-shirt. The v neck on it is not too low. No bra hanging out from it and they are SO soft! I got a size Small.

*TOP PICK* These shoes!!! Ahh-mazing!!! Love the color, great heel height and the peep toe is great for now, fall and spring. Definitely a fav! Fit TTS.

ZELLA LIVE IN HIGH WAIST LEGGINGS

*TOP PICK* I mentioned in my last post if you buy only 1 item in the #nsale make it these Zella leggings. My mom ordered a pair and she loves them. They are a steal at this price and the quality is like none other. I wear a size small.

STEVE MADDEN EFFECT BLOCK HEEL BOOTIE

LOVE these boots. The color is such a pretty, soft gray but they are high. They aren’t uncomfortable but they are definitely higher than most boots I have.

BP MULTI STRIPE SCARF

Such a classic fall scarf. Can’t go wrong with these colors when the weather starts to change.

*TOP PICK* What is it about cozy cardigans? They instantly make me wish for hot chocolate by a fire. Not wishing for that right now because I’m all about this 90 degree heat wave we are having, but this sweater is that sweater! It’s so soft and not overly baggy. Love this one. Another fav!

WHAT I BOUGHT AT THE 2017 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

It was good. It was real good. Hunter boots. Uggs. Sperry boots. Yeah that good.

Let me preface this with saying that I only shop this sale online. I don’t do great shopping in stores. I just can’t deal with racks of clothes and I like being able to filter by brands and price. That keeps me much more on track. You can totally shop this sale in store but my method is strictly online. Plus with free shipping and free returns, why not?

I learned from the past how to shop this sale and I feel I was victorious in my finds this year! Here’s how I mapped it all out:

PLAN – decide what you are on the hunt for. With this sale I’m always scooping up in this order: boots, scarves, sweaters, jeans, basics.
FILTER – once I know what I’m looking for I set my filters. I will shop by brand and search low to high price wise. I generally set parameters for what I’ll spend on an item. For instance I rarely spend more than $60 on a sweater so I’ll set my filters to not exceed that. It saves me time from looking at items not in my price range.
ORDER – most times when I shop I put things in my cart, continue to browse, and sometimes come back a few days later and order. DON’T do that with this sale. Once you scope out your wish list and find favorites purchase right away in multiple sizes. Again, you get free shipping and free returns (through regular mail…so no running to the UPS store). Things go really fast so don’t wait.

I ordered quite a bit this year. I did some shopping for myself and my Mom. As I have been telling her for years, I have to keep her young. Although I love being her stylist! I don’t intend to keep everything I bought but I did want options so things I was on the fence about I added to the cart and bought. I learned from the past that waiting and coming back will likely mean it won’t be there. So brace yourself Erik. The UPS guy will fall over carrying all these boxes up to the house, but I got it under control. Multiple sizes, colors, options will make it look a lot worse than it really is!

So here goes. What I bought:

BOOTS, and lots of them.

UGG Constantine Boot $109.90 It’s gotta be like 5 years since I bought a new pair of UGGS. It was time.

Hinge Barris Block Heel Bootie $79.90 Love this brand. I am a sucker for taupe color booties. So excited about these ones!

Sperry Saltwater Wedge Boot $89.90 I really needed a new pair of snow boots and Sperry is always great for that. Love the classic look of these.

Hunter Original Short Rain Boot $119.90 this is one of the items I knew I wanted to scoop up. I have the Hunter tall boots but wanted a short pair to switch off with. I really wanted red but was happy to settle for navy. And love those cute straps on the back!

Vince Camuto Karinta $99.90 perfect transition shoe once the weather cools off. Love the peep toe bootie for fall and for spring.

Steve Madden Effect Block Heel Bootie $86.90 You all know how I love a block heel, but these might be a little high for me. I fell in love with the gray color though. We will have to see how these feel in person.

Vince Camuo Fileana Split Shaft Bootie $99.90 great neutral bootie.

**CLEARLY I am not keeping all of these. That would just be crazy but they were all too good to pass up! Which ones stay and which goes time will tell.

Zella lived in leggings $35.50 If you buy only 1 item make it these leggings. I got my first pair last year at this same sale and they are so good. Great quality. Can be worn out or for working out.

BP Lightweight Cardigan $31.90 always a best seller. I got the oatmeal color.

Lush Raw Edge Side Slit Tee $15.90 at this price how do you not stock up on this wardrobe staple? I got gray and black.

BLANKNYC Faux Leather Jacket $64.90 I got this jacket in black last year and love this brand for their faux leather jackets. Though the pink would be a nice change and perfect over tees and dresses.

OTHER

Hard to believe I got anything else but I did. A few other sweaters and a few pairs of jeans just not sure of how they will fit. Erik I promise. It’s not ALL staying. Surely this can’t all look good, right?! LOL!

So now that you all think I’m a total shopaholic I just want to say I’m really not. I know hard to believe after seeing this roundup! This sale is the one sale I buy like crazy but will only keep what I really love. The finds this year were just really, really good so I ordered more than usual.
