Cannot believe we are fast approaching the middle of August. While I love planning Summer’s party (her party planning begins in early June) I always get a little sad when it comes because it signals the end of our favorite season. August always flies by and by the end of August I find myself getting ready to retire some of my summer clothes and easing into fall pieces. This outfit is an easy transition outfit.
Love this Free People top. You can wear it on the shoulders or off shoulder like I styled here. It can easily be layered under sweaters and jackets. I only bought this in black but kind of wish I bought more colors. It’s just such an easy wear.
To stay with the warmer weather I paired with light colored jeans but adding in the peep toe booties makes it perfect for the start of fall.
I am not a big under garment person. Ok let me rephrase this. I wear undergarments LOL but I am not one of these girls who spends big bucks on bras. This lace racerback bra though was worth every penny. The lace is so soft and it looks so pretty peaking out from off the shoulder tops or sweaters. It’s a bit pricey but you’ll definitely get a lot of use out of it just because if it peaks out from under your shirt it makes the outfit. Doesn’t just look like a bra strap that is out of place.
Our week off is coming to a close. Sadly, I lost my Uncle Allan suddenly this week and it’s been really tough. Losing loved ones is never easy but it really makes you think about life. Love deeply for we never know how long we have with each other. My Uncle was a wonderful man and my mother had such a strong bond with him. He was one of those people who left a lasting impression on all those that met him. He will truly be missed.
