One of my favorite parts about the start of fall is the shoes. Boots, booties, bold colors! While I’m a summer girl at heart fall fashion is my favorite and a lot has to do with the shoes! So when I was asked to team up with The Mills at Jersey Gardens and a few other bloggers last week to come preview their hot shoes for fall I dropped everything and went!
The cutest styles from stores like Century 21, Vince Camuto, Famous Footwear and Michael Kors were displayed for us to try on. I can tell you that the fall styles this year give a nice nod to the 90s!
Some of the trends I’m loving:
VELVET – Love seeing velvet right now. From shirts to shoes it’s such a refreshing change and one I haven’t seen cause such a fashion rage in years!
BLOCK HEELS – Well glad this one is sticking around because you all know how much I love my chunky heels. My Dolce Vita block sandals? Yeah you know the ones I’m talking about! On a bootie the block heel gives that classic comfort and is so on trend!
RED – If there is one color that instantly adds a dose of sexy it’s red. I have to admit that I have never tried on a pair of Christian Louboutin’s before. I swear once I put these on I was transformed! Shockingly comfortable for a stiletto which you all know I don’t wear and just absolutely gorgeous. The detail on that heel!
METALLIC – Metallics are showing up everywhere and I’m not mad about it. Nothing adds a bit of glitz and glam like metallic jewelry, bags or shoes. Loved these sneakers. They would look so cute paired with a T Shirt dress and moto jacket!
MOTO & COMBAT BOOTS – So this I couldn’t be happier about. I have been wearing moto and combat boots for years. I have Vince Camuto ones that are so cool and edgy. This rain version of them below, so cool! And Doc Marten’s. Can we just talk about them for a minute? They have never gone out of style but they are back this year with sparkle and loaded with details! I was happy to see them trending again because I have had my pair for a good 6 years and still wear them all fall and winter long. The quality on them is like none other. Over leggings, with short dresses they really add such an edge factor to an outfit.

Each winner will receive a Vans voucher to redeem for one pair of shoes inside the Vans store at The Mills at Jersey Gardens. Shoppers can enter to win by commenting on the Sweepstakes Facebook post on The Mills at Jersey Gardens Facebook Page, which will be live each day at 10:00 AM EST. The winner will be announced daily on Facebook by 10:00 AM EST the following day. The official rules and regulations are available at Guest Services located inside the mall.
- Mystery Shoe Box Giveaway – The first 20 customers to stop by The Mills at Jersey Gardens’ Guests Services on September 15 – 17, 22 – 24, 29 and 30 will receive a Mystery Shoe Box. Each box will contain a retailer gift card ranging anywhere from $20 – $100 for shoppers to use toward their new fall shoe wardrobe.
