So this time of year is always crazy to me. We get those chilly nights and warm days but we start getting tired of wearing summer clothes, but we aren’t quite ready to bundle ourselves up head to toe (is anyone actually ever ready for that?!). In the next few weeks though everyone will start running to the orchards and farms to go apple and pumpkin picking. Love this time of year!

THE CARDIGAN OF THE SEASON
I have to start this post off with heart felt prayers for those in the Caribbean and Florida who have all been effected by Irma. I haven’t stopped watching the coverage and the devastation just breaks my heart. I have close family in Florida as I know many others do and I’m praying for all our friends and family.
BACK TO SCHOOL AND A NOTE TO THE WORKING MOM
Summer mode has come to an end in our house. Summer started her first year of kindergarten this week. Being her birthday is at the cutoff we have decided she will do kindergarten at her current school and then repeat it next year in elementary. I think giving her that extra year will help her on her so many levels. Time to get serious Summer! Welcome to the world of schoolwork!
DISTRESSED BLACK JEANS – OBSESSED!
And that’s a wrap. Happy Labor Day friends! The official end to my favorite season of the year. Summer went by way too fast but we made it a memorable one. This was the summer that our Summer learned how to swim all on her own. Hopefully we get a few more beach and pool days in during September because we aren’t quite ready to pack away the bathing suits in the House of Leo! What can I say? We are summer people!
HOW TO STYLE A ROMPER FOR FALL
So I never really got into the romper trend. Don’t get me wrong. I love the trend, but I just don’t have a big need for it. I get dressed up during the week for work and the weekends I tend to grab distressed denim shorts with cute tanks. Date night I usually go for distressed jeans (you know how much I LOVE distressed, distressed, distressed!). So more rompers just never really made it into my closet. I do have one though that I’ve had awhile and I still love it. I got it years ago from a boutique so I don’t know the brand but it’s the softest material ever.
As I was looking at it in my closet the other day it dawned on me that the color is so perfect for fall, but who wants to wear summery looking rompers in the fall? Insert the chunky, cozy cardigan.
