Two trends I love, camo and combat boots. I have been wearing my Dr. Marten’s boots for a good 5 years now. I never liked them when I was younger. Reminded me of Marilyn Manson and that Hot Topix store in the mall. Nothing wrong if that’s your thing but it wasn’t quite me LOL! However, as I got older I wanted a good pair of boots that were comfortable, edgy and could survive the NJ weather elements. And that’s when I stepped out of my comfort zone and went down the combat road! There’s a reason Dr. Marten’s have been around for so long. I always associated them as gothic style but totally not the case. It all comes down to how you style them. And let me tell you the quality on these babies just gets better each year I wear them. Love them with leggings, jeans, and dresses. Don’t knock them till you try them! Combat boots just add a little edge factor that is classic but also not played out where everyone you know is wearing them. I love that about them.
This scarf was an Abercrombie find. Another brand that has stayed true to their quality over the years. I still have sweaters from college that I bought there and they still look good. Ok so maybe I only wear them around the house, but you get my drift. Totally not just for the high school kids. Although when I shop there I am usually surrounded by high school kids LOL! You’ll see me style lots of sweaters from there this winter. They have great sales and classic pieces. I especially love their outerwear and sweaters. I saw this scarf and loved the thickness of it and the camo print sold me. The print isn’t over the top camo. Just subtle enough.
Lastly, how cute are my pups? I mean this top? We all know how adorable Benny and Emma are. My little loves. This top is perfect for the cooler weather right now. I sized up to a medium for a more relaxed fit.
This was a somber week for all that happened in Vegas. So many prayers being sent to the victims and their loved ones.
