Hi friends! Thought it would be fun to give you a Christmas home tour of the House of Leo. For those who are new to my blog and don’t know how my blog got it’s name well it’s pretty simple. Summer was born in August so her sign is a Leo and Leo is an abbreviation of our last name. I absolutely LOVE transforming our home for the holidays. My Dad always loved Christmas and I’ve kept his love of the holidays alive in our home. Yesterday marked 15 years since his passing so I’m dedicating this post to him. So come on inside and I hope you enjoy seeing our home.
We did a ton of work on this house since buying it 5 1/2 years ago. It’s still not done and we will probably always find something new to fix up but it’s come a long way since we bought it. One of these days I’ll do a before and after post of all our renovations if you’d want to see it!
Most of our décor is Pottery Barn, Pier 1, Home Goods (aka my heaven on earth), and Michael’s. I’m not going to link anything but if you see something you like let me know and I can let you know where we got it! (I did, however, link outfit details at the end of the post.)
This is our family room. When Erik and I moved in together circa 2005 my mother in law started giving me a Lenox ornament for the tree every year. So this tree is all Lenox and those adorable woodsy animal ornaments from Pottery Barn.
I get so many compliments on our tree base. Don’t laugh, but we used to keep beer in it for our parties haha! Last year I said I wanted to convert it to a tree base and now the beer goes in a cooler LOL!
We started a collection of these cute light up characters from Target last year for Summer. We call it her Christmas Zoo. Can you tell this house is a bit obsessed with animals?
And this is our dining room. I love the skinny flocked Christmas tree in this room. Erik hates it because it’s so messy but it’s seriously so pretty. We have 3 trees in our home and I try to make each one different. This one always takes on a woodsy feel.
And this is our formal living room. All our angel tree toppers from past years I keep on the bookcase. This funky tree was a new addition this year. It has all of Summer’s ornaments on it and the dogs. Benny and Emma I think have more ornaments than Summer LOL!
I’ll end the tour in our foyer. I have a collection of glass Christmas trees along with the maltese ornaments I’ve collected over the years. Home Goods and Hobby Lobby always have such cute glass dog ornaments.
SO that’s it! Hope you enjoyed seeing our home decorated for the holidays! We host Christmas Day every year and this year we have 19 joining us. I’ll snap pics of the table decorated and post them next week. I gotta get through this wrapping first before I can even think about table-scaping LOL!
I won’t put a post out Monday since it’s Christmas but I’ll be back Tuesday. So from me to you and your family….a very merry and joyous Christmas. Cherish the day with friends and family. We have a very special surprise coming Christmas morning. Stay tuned…I promise it’s so special! (And no…I’m NOT pregnant!) LOL!
With Christmas Love,
Tam
