HELLO beautiful spring weather! Only here for a few days but I’ll take it! Planning on getting a good dose of Vitamin D this weekend. In Monday’s post, I showed you the must have dress for spring and summer. Well in today’s post I’m going to talk all about another must have — the denim jacket. A closet staple for sure but every few years it’s good to update your old favorite. So many different styles and washes to choose from and the perfect way to dress down those dresses, skirts and weekend looks.
You got a preview of this jacket in Monday’s post. When I saw the lighter wash on this one I had to have it. Most of my denim jackets are the traditional denim wash so this was a fun change.
As for the sizing, it runs small. I ordered both the small and medium. Depending how you decide to wear your’s will determine whether you should size up or not. If you are going to layer and wear long sleeves under it then I would size up in this one. I decided I liked the slimmer fit and would wear this one solely over sleeveless tops so I kept the small. It definitely has a bit of stretch to it but like I said I would probably suggest sizing up for a more versatile fit.
For years I only bought my denim jackets at GAP, J Crew and I hear Old Navy has great ones. You can never go wrong with the classic fit but trending right now are the trucker styles that are fuller, longer and baggier. Rounding up a bunch of favorites in the widget below. So these joggers from Peach have been in constant rotation. Love these joggers because you can dress them up with a heel like I styled here or wear them with sneakers or flip flops. These run big so size down. I’m in an XS. The quality is AMAZING on these!
