Keeping with the budget friendly outfit series is outfit number 2 — all about skirts. Maxi and mid length skirts have always been one of my favorite spring and summer looks. So cute for the office, showers, church or dinner out. There’s just something so refreshing about a whimsical skirt that adds a lil punch to an outfit.
I will be honest and confess that I am not a big Target fashion lover. I know they are super popular and I love the fact that they bring in designer collections made for Target. Right now they are featuring a Hunter line just for Target. I think it’s a great way to try these well known designers at a fraction of the cost. BUT I don’t know. I just don’t do that great there. Everyone has their go to stores though right? And there’s nothing wrong with Target fashion. I just so happen to not do that great there.
BUT when I decided to take on this blog series I knew they would have on trend, affordable pieces. So I challenged myself and made a trip there. I saw these two adorable skirts right away and fell in love!
First up is this skirt from the Who What Wear collection. Ruffles, mid length and wrap style. Perfect! LOVE the soft blue and white stripes in this one too. I kept it simple with a classic ribbed tank tucked in but would equally cute with a denim jacket over it or an OTS tucked in.
Total price of this skirt: $29.99
For another skirt that has some flare and edge but a bit more structured is this one from Target’s A New Day collection. Asymmetical hems are always one of my favs for adding the illusion of height. Haha clearly I need it! Add ruffles and classic stripes and this skirt definitely makes a statement.I love blue and black together so I added another ribbed tank but dressed it up with a black bag. Any color would match this one though. White, yellow, gray. Anything would go.
Total price of this skirt: $22.99
And that’s a wrap! Two adorable finds at Target that are both fun and affordable. It’s not my go to retailer for clothes but you can’t rule it out for a place to score some great fill ins that are easy on the wallet.
I’ll be back Friday with one last look from the budget friendly outfit series! This one will be laid back casual. And in case you missed it outfit 1 from this series can be found here!
