Taking a little break from fashion to talk about my other favorite love — home decor! So many changes coming up for my little Summer. Next week she leaves her daycare that she has been at for the past 5 1/2 years (blog post coming soon about that) and in just a few weeks she will start kindergarten at her new school. New adventures call for a new room makeover to get her ready for this next chapter in her life. Today I partnered with Frank + Lulu to give you some inspo on where to buy kid’s bedding.
From the home decor posts that I’ve done in the past I think you all know I style my home the way I style fashion — always with a budget in mind. Our bathroom renovation this winter was done with the look for less. In case you missed it you can see our bathroom renovation here. So when I decided to prep Summer’s bedroom for big girl status I naturally went with affordable pieces but ones that would make a statement.
Kids go in and out of phases so quickly. I think we’ve changed Summer’s bedding every year since she was a baby so I don’t believe in breaking the bank when choosing her bedding or room decor. I want her to be able to change her style as her taste changes without me telling her we can’t change it because we spent too much. Frank + Lulu have some of the sweetest, trendy yet classic pieces for transforming your kid’s bedrooms.
I mean look at this bedding! The detail is so gorgeous on it and the comforter is so well made. I love that Frank + Lulu has a variety of solids and prints to choose from.
They also have such pretty sheets that will make your kid’s bedding really pop.
I had white ruffle curtains prior but loved that Frank + Lulu also had curtain panels that would match the bedding. I have never been big into curtains but let me tell you these curtain panels are so high quality and made such a difference from what we had hanging in Summer’s room before.
But the fun didn’t stop here. It was time to also add some new wall decor to my almost kindergarten girl’s room. Love these corkboards that Summer can use to display some of her favorite pictures or messages that will be a part of her big year coming up. The “dream” wall art just symbolizes my wish for her. Dream big my little girl.
This is just a sprinkle of what Frank + Lulu have. From kid’s bedding for boys and girls, to wall art and furniture they really have everything you need to spruce up your kid’s rooms. And love that their line is available at JcPenney! I have each piece linked below but you can also shop their entire line here.
New bedroom? Check! Now just gotta do back to school clothes shopping! Talk about spoiled!

Tammy, dear niece, I remember the decor done before Summer made her appearance. It was so precious and now her “growing up” look is equally precious. You have the ‘eye” girl. I see some familiar items. You know that makes me happy as you know how much I love adding “personal” items to my own decor. Loved today’s blog as I love all of your blogs. Makes me feel that even though we are separated by so many miles I still feel as if i am sharing your life. Love from Aunt jeanie
I knew I’d get a message from you today! She still very much loves her bunny! Thank you! Got that creative gene from the Syontko side of the fam! You’re very much always a part of our lives!
