5 THINGS TO PREPARE FOR THE 2019 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

The 4th of July is my favorite summer holiday but also my calendar marker for the biggest sale of the year. THE NSALE IS UPON US PEOPLE! In less than a week Christmas in July kicks off and to get you ready I’m sharing 5 things to help you prepare for the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

ALL ABOUT THE 2019 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

We aren’t necessarily thinking about fall and winter gear in July but when a sale this good happens once a year we have to take advantage. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale better known as the NSALE features all new fall and winter items marked down 40%. These items are not last year’s clothes, shoes and accessories. They are the items debuting for fall 2019. Once the sale is over prices go back to full price. This is THE SALE for stocking up on all your fall and winter gear early!

KEY DATES

The 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins early access on 7/12 for Nordstrom cardholders. The sale will go public for all to shop on 7/19 and will end on 8/4.

TIP 1: GET A NORDSTROM CREDIT CARD

I cannot stress this enough. The key to shopping this sale is having a Nordstrom credit card so you can shop before the sale opens up to the public. After shopping this sale for years I can tell you that most items will be sold out by the time the sale goes public on 7/19. Shopping early access is absolutely key to scoring what you want in this sale.

TIP 2: BUY NOW IN MULTIPLE SIZES AND RETURN LATER

This sale is hot and I mean really hot. With so many more influencers in the game now the publicity behind this sale gets even more massive every year. Things will GO FAST! I highly recommend adding items to cart and if you are on the fence about sizing buy multiple sizes and click order. Odds are by the time your delivery comes if you go back to exchange sizes your new size will not be available. Also, restocks rarely happen. Once things go that’s usually it.

Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping so you do not have to worry about paying to ship back. You can also return in store.

TIP 3: SHOP ONLINE

I suggest shopping the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary sale online for several reasons. First off the store is insane. It is super crowded and everyone is fighting for a dressing room. Personally I do not enjoy shopping that way.

The selection online will also be substantially better than in store. If you are anxious to get your order you can order online and then do store pickup or curbside delivery. Not all items you order will have this option but you can split your order and pick up what’s available at your local store and then have the rest shipped to you. This is personally how I shop the sale. All my purchases are made online and when I run to the store it’s just to pick up my already ordered items.

TIP 4: BUY HIGHER PRICED ITEMS

With up to 40% off rarely marked down items and brands it’s wise to take advantage of higher priced items. Big draws are designer denim such as AG jeans, UGGS, Sorel, Tory Burch, Vince Camuto and more.

You can also score killer deals on more budget friendly brands such as BP, Topshop and tons of beauty products.

TIP 5: STOCK UP ON FALL AND WINTER GEAR

The most popular items to buy during the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are boots, booties, sweaters, cardigans, coats, jeans and beauty kits. Some of my most worn boots and sweaters were purchased during past NSALES. This is the time to get your fall wardrobe in kick start mode!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME DURING THE 2019 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

Last year the sale kicked off in the middle of the night which was great because I had all my shopping and my initial blog post up by the time you all woke up. This year the sale is kicking off at 12:30pm EST which will be a bit tricky. My plan is to wake up, shop online and prepare my NSALE top picks blog post for you to be up by early afternoon. I’ll then head to my local Nordstrom that afternoon, pick up whatever is available in store and come home and do a try on for you in my stories. Then I’ll publish a 2nd blog post with a try on of all those pieces. Exhausting right? Yup but I love it and my promise to you is to give you great NSALE coverage.
