OUR FURNITURE MAKEOVER WITH RAYMOUR & FLANIGAN

So here’s a little secret about me that actually isn’t actually a secret. When I started HOLB my intentions were to share not only fashion and beauty but also share my love of home decor. Over the past 2 and 1/2 years I haven’t shared as much home content as I would have liked but that’s all changing today. In need of some new updates in our living spaces I’m sharing our furniture makeover with Raymour & Flanigan.

Having an almost 7 year old and 2 dogs you can imagine our furniture takes a beating. Luckily the furniture we have bought over the years stayed in decent shape but we really wanted to do some updating. So when Raymour & Flanigan reached out it seemed like the perfect time for a mini home makeover.

My home philosophy is no different than what I abide by with fashion. I mix highs in lows in styling our home. Raymour & Flanigan has a style and budget for everyone which naturally drew me to them. They also are the 6th largest furniture and mattress retailer in the U.S. (#1 in the Northeast). Furniture is an investment so it’s important to find pieces from a company with a great reputation and one with quality items and great customer service. Raymour fit the bill for us.

OUR OLD FAMILY ROOM

When we bought our home 7 years ago and renovated we actually changed the rooms around. We wanted a large family room where we could have a sectional because we entertain a decent amount. Plus I feel sectionals give the most room. Our old sectional was actually a taupe color and really didn’t blend when we painted the walls a light gray a few years ago.

OUR NEW FAMILY ROOM

After a visit to the Raymour & Flanigan showroom we fell in love with so many pieces. The staff were so accommodating in helping us choose the right couch. The sectional we decided on was the same size as our old one but why do you think I fell in love with it? See below.

DOG PILLOWS. I mean is that a sign or is that a sign?! The gray matches perfectly in our room and still gives us the same amount of room we had before. Raymour & Flanigan also has special order items. We ordered a tufted ottoman coffee table to go in this room and should be here in a few weeks. That’s another bonus to shopping at R&F. Not only can you shop from their showroom but you can shop online and customize with special order items.

Another piece we added to this room was this accent chest. I wanted a space where I could store table clothes and candles and this chest matched perfectly.

I wasn’t planning to makeover our formal living room but this set is actually the first couch I ever bought for my first home back in 2003! She’s been through many moves with me along with 2 home renovations.

When we were shopping I saw this couch on sale and because you all know I can’t resist a good sale I decided to let go of my 2003 furniture and add this couch in. This couch is currently on sale for R&F’s Labor Day sale!

OUR NEW FORMAL LIVING ROOM

I took existing sofa chairs that I had and added them in this room. I absolutely LOVE how this room came out. That’s another thing I love about Raymour & Flanigan. It’s so easy to mix new pieces in with furniture you may already have.

With delivery in 3 days or less, 7 days a week our furniture was here in no time. The delivery and set up was seamless. The R&F team brought all the pieces in wrapped up securely and set everything up neatly and quickly. Honestly, it was the easiest furniture buying and delivery process I’ve ever gone through.

Next room to tackle? Our master bedroom. With next day mattress delivery from Raymour & Flanigan it’s kind of a no brainer!
