Back with another round of capsule dressing! Had so much fun doing my winter wardrobe capsule with Evereve last month that I thought it would be a fun theme to continue. Each month I’ll introduce a few new key items while showing you how to style those pieces a few different ways AND pulling in items from the past capsules. The goal here is to build a closet with quality pieces that you’ll get tons and tons of use out of while not feeling like you are wearing the same item over and over. Key pieces this month can all be worn now for winter but will also transition right into spring. It’s time to start building those spring wardrobes while still starting to get use of these items now.
KEY PIECE: THE SPRING JACKET
Almost time to start packing away those winter coats and let me tell ya — I’m just about ready. For all my Sunday readers you’ll want to take advantage of grabbing this jacket. TODAY ONLY this little bomber jacket is the deal of the day for $99. Normally $148. I got the black Marrakech moto jacket last month and have been wearing that a ton so thought I would add a spring one into the mix. Light enough to wear as an outfit piece but roomy enough to layer over long sleeve tops and tees. Once you add a Marrrakech jacket to your closet you’ll totally get what the fuss is all about. Wearing an XS.
KEY PIECE: RELAXED DENIM
Next key piece in my February Evereve wardrobe capsule is relaxed denim. Yes, still love my skinny jeans but relaxed denim is a HUGE trend for spring.
Being we are trying to incorporate quality pieces I added one more pair of Agolde jeans to my capsule. The style I showed you last month was a more a straight leg style. This pair is looser and roomier. True denim and the fit is amazing. I did cut the bottoms to make them shorter. Wearing a 25.
JEANS | SWEATSHIRT | SNEAKERS
For a more budget friendly pair of relaxed denim this pair by Kut From The Kloth is also great. I didn’t get this pair only because the size 0 was a tad big on me, but for $89 they are amazing. Length was perfect too. Also take note that short sleeve sweatshirts and white sneakers will also both be big trends come spring. Both of these are affordable and a great way to keep your love for sweatshirts in rotation when the weather warms up.
KEY PIECE: LOUNGY SWEATSHIRTS
Had to include a loungy type sweatshirt in my February Evereve winter capsule as last month we had a sweater and a thermal type top. And I don’t know about you but I’m all about sweatshirts. This is one you’ll have to put on to truly appreciate how comfy and great fitting it is.
It’s the perfect thickness too if you want to layer your Marrakech jacket right over it. See what I did there? Capsule dressing — it’s all about the layers!
KEY PIECE: PRINTED LEGGINGS
Got our black leggings last month. Always a good basic. BUT for my legging loving girls you’ll absolutely want to add in a printed pair. I fell hard for the black Varley pair last month that I had to add a second pair. Not even kidding when I say I might love this brand more than SPANX. The softness is unbelievable! And love this light neutral for spring.
But make them winter friendly by topping with a black sweatshirt. Loved this one in store. Super thick ribbing and cute side zippers.
KEY PIECE: THE VERSATILE BAG
This might be my favorite piece in my February Evereve wardrobe capsule. This bag is everything I imagined it to be! Legit it’s the perfect errand, mom on the go bag. You can make it crossbody but it also comes with an additional strap to make it into a belt bag! Love this white patent leather but there is also camo and black options too. Only $78 and selling fast!
KEY PIECE: THE GRAPHIC TANK
And just to show you how the bag looks as a belt bag. NOT A FANNY PACK! Last month we rotated in a graphic tee so this month let’s rotate in a tank. The heart graphic is crazy popular at Evereve. This one is by Chaser and comes in 4 color options. Runs big. I sized down to XS.
HEART SWEATSHIRT | SNEAKERS | QUILTED JACKET | TANK | JOGGERS
The heart grapic also comes in a sweatshirt. It was tough decision but being I got the loungy sweatshirt I showed you earlier I decided to buy the tank. The joggers on the right are actually the matching pair to that lounge top I showed you. LOVE it paired with this quilted jacket — another big trend for spring. I only opted to buy the Marrakech over the quilted jacket as I would have the option to style the Marrakech as an outfit piece and a jacket. BUT if you are in need of a heavier spring jacket I can’t recommend this one enough!
ALSO TRENDING: JUMPSUITS
JUMPSUIT | DENIM JACKET | HIGH TOPS
I didn’t add this jumpsuit to my personal capsule only because I tend to wear leggings more than jumpsuits or joggers. However, a jumpsuit is a great capsule piece as you can layer with them and they basically are a one and done! This one has all the cozy, soft feels! Pockets, can go off shoulder and it’s currently on sale! And if you are looking for a staple denim jacket I always recommend Kut From The Kloth. Affordable, great fit and timeless style.
STILL TRENDING: SKINNY JEANS
TANK | JEANS | SNEAKERS
Despite the memes I’ve seen saying skinny jeans and side parts are no longer in style — I beg to differ. Skinny jeans are here to stay. If the relaxed denim ain’t your thing then this pair by Good American might just be! High waisted, slimming and only $99!
