Well think I can officially say that after 9 years of working on our home it’s finally done! We just wrapped up working on final projects inside as well as completing the siding, roof and windows. This summer we wanted to enjoy our yard more than ever as things have been so hectic. After getting the yard ready we realized our yard needed some sprucing. Today I’m bringing you our patio furniture update with Raymour & Flanigan.
PATIO TABLE SET
When we bought our home the backyard just had trees. We didn’t even have sprinklers! We put our pool in about 6 years ago and did a ton in the yard. BUT the one thing we never got was new patio furniture. We actually had hand me down furniture from when my parents sold their house. It was seriously time for a patio furniture update.
At the end of last summer we had a bad storm and the existing glass table I had by the pool actually blew over and shattered glass EVERYWHERE. And yes. The glass all went into the pool. We had to drain the pool and it was a complete nightmare. Lesson learned. NEVER put glass tables by a pool! So top of my priority list was getting a table that wasn’t glass.
Erik and I also entertain a lot. We have a huge 4th of July party every year and Summer’s birthday is in August. For these reasons, having ample seating was also high on my priority list. I fell in love with the Geneva set as this set has 8 seats. The square table also saved me space even though it’s a table for 8. Don’t underestimate how big a square table can be. This gave us a TON of room!
The table and chairs are cast aluminum construction which will stay 100% rust free. The swivel arm chairs come with seat cushions covered with all-weathered 100% solution-dyed Sunbrella. The fabrics used are color and fade resistant and contain a special open-cell foam which enhances drying and comfort.
I also want to note that the Geneva set also comes in other styles. They have rectangle tables, seating for 6, round tables and other chair styles.
SEATING FOR THE FIREPIT
Our patio furniture update didn’t stop here though. Last year we added a firepit to the yard and it’s been great for roasting marshmallows and late night drinks. I made the mistake of putting a set by the firepit that had fabric chairs and quickly got holes in the fabric from any sparks that came off the firepit. Because of this I knew I wanted to get different seating this year for around the firepit.
I decided to get 4 of the Lanty Adirondack chairs to complete our patio furniture update. They are expertly crafted of sustainable acacia in a dark slate grey finish. The contemporary style of these chairs matches with our yard perfectly and having a wood style chair makes so much more sense for this area of our yard.
The Lanty Adirondack chair also comes in a natural wood finish but this dark slate gray was love at first site for me. They are just so chic and clean looking. We are loving those late nights by the firepit now.
So happy with our patio furniture update and going to Raymour & Flanigan was a no brainer. I updated both our family and living rooms with them along with our master bedroom. Their furniture lasts for years and they always have a style and budget for everyone. I always love that delivery is in 3 days or less, 7 days a week and no assembly is required. From shopping their showroom right down to delivery — everyone is always so accommodating and their service is amazing.
Excited for more summer celebrations around our new patio furniture. Summer memories in our backyard will always be my favorite.
**Thank you to Raymour & Flanigan for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.

The Adirondack chairs are perfect there! Enjoy
Thank you so much!
Good morning from drab, dreary, rainy Waleska. Viewing your back yard area makes me want to plan a NJ visit. It looks absolutely lovely. Love your plantings and you could not have chosen a more perfect day to take your pics. That blue sky is amazing. How could anyone not be “comfy and feeling like a guest at a fancy resort” in your beautiful setting? Love it and love you. Let the summer bashes continue. Aunt Jeanie
