To be honest this entire holiday season didn’t really feel like the holidays to me. Perhaps because I was swallowed up in work. Perhaps because this pandemic feels like it gained even more speed (once again) as the holidays approach. Or perhaps going forward holidays will just feel different (for awhile anyway). But just like with every Christmas season I’ve celebrated on my blog I always love to take the time to say Merry Christmas from us to you.
I read back last year’s holiday post and was reminded of how trying 2020 was. How could we forget right? 2021 had it’s share of highs and lows. More on those in my annual “best of 2021” blog post next week. BUT the one thing that I truly felt this holiday season more than year’s past was my personal connection to so many of you. Truly every encounter, every email, every dm — each one always deepens the love for what I do.
Thank you for the support this holiday season. I hope all the posts helped to ease the pressure of holiday shopping. The fact that you come to me for shopping advice and knowing there is a little piece of HOLB under so many of your trees truly means everything.
No matter what your Christmas looks like this year I hope it’s filled with love and good health. Take time to be with family and friends whether in person or by phone.
I’m so thankful for all of you. I’m so thankful for my friends and family. And I’m so thankful for being exactly where I am. Although our holiday will be quiet this year I will soak it all up. Perhaps this will be the last year Summer believes in Santa. Perhaps this will be our last Christmas with Emma. These questions I don’t have the answer to. But I know how important it is to live in the “now.”
Live in the moment. Appreciate the moments and those around us. Cherish the moments as each year they will change. Time is something we don’t get back. Stages come and go with the blink of an eye. My Christmas wish to all of you is to just enjoy the now. Soak it up and hold onto it with all your heart my friends.
Merry Christmas from us to you my friends. My family and I appreciate you all more than you’ll ever know. Whether we’ve messaged before or not — I know you are there and I’m forever grateful. Christmas love to you all.
