Finally kicking off 2023 with a fresh, new blog post! Took some time off during the holidays but I’m back with a good one. My Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers review is finally here. My past 2 Golden Goose sneaker blog posts are still trending as 2 of my highest read blog posts to date so thought it would be good to dedicate an entire post to the Mid Star style. Out of all the styles I have this is currently ranking as my favorite of them all. Read on to find out why.

Perhaps you are a GG addict like me or perhaps you are stuck on which style to buy. Wherever you stand hopefully today’s blog post will help in determining if the Mid Star is a good first Golden Goose style to add to your closet or the style that your closet is missing.
If you are new to GG you might find these following 2 blog posts helpful before reading my Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers review:
- My Honest Review of Golden Goose Sneakers – Wrote this post after getting my first pair.
- Which Style of Golden Goose Sneakers is right for you – This reviews 3 styles of Golden Goose but was written before I added Mid Stars to my collection.
In my last GG post I had pretty much summed up the pros and cons to the Low Stars, High tops and the Old School styles. But the one style I hadn’t splurged on was the Mid Star. When I got the itch last spring to add a new pair to my closet it was an easy decision to try out the Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers.

If you follow me on any social media platform then you probably know I’m a sneaker girl but I’m almost always in high tops more than any other style of shoe. I rotate between P448 and Golden Goose pretty equally. This is actually what drew me to Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers. It’s a high top but not quite as high up the ankle.

While I wear true high tops with shorts and skirts I personally think the Mid Star style looks a tad better with those pieces. Also true with 7/8 cut leggings. I’m petite so I’m notorious for only wearing 7/8 cut leggings. I love to show my ankle and don’t want my leggings bunching. With high tops it’s still hard to expose the ankle whereas with Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers you can see the ankle. This might all sound ridiculous with how much ankle skin you show. Trust me though. When the legging is cut at 7/8 it’s meant to be flattering so you’ll want to accentuate that with the right shoe style.

Another thing I especially love about Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers is the shoe design. The back of both my pairs has bold lettering. The front of the shoe has a wing tip detailing. These two details make them completely different than the other styles of GG on the market. It’s like a mix of edgy and classic all in one.

As for what style to get there are SO many cute designs. This is the one style that I tend to gravitate towards most as I feel they have the best selections of designs and colors. The pair I got in the spring just pops and are great all 4 seasons out of the year.

I recently added the Shearling Lined Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers over the holidays. They have literally become my go to everyday sneaker. The Shearling insert is removeable so you can opt to keep them in and not wear socks. You can also remove them and use the regular insert that comes with the shoe. These literally feel like slippers when I wear them. They are also perfect for dressing up outfits in the winter if you want to wear a sneaker.

I take a ton of time to decide which style to add to my closet. Afterall, they are an investment. I have now added 2 different styles of Golden Goose Mid Star sneakers. I think it’s safe to say this is my personal favorite style. Comfort, outfit pairing and style they are a 10 out of 10. They are the style I keep grabbing for over and over.
Sizing wise I always go true to size in GG. These required zero breaking in compared to my High Tops and Low Tops. I’d 100% say add a pair of Mid Stars to your collection. If a first time GG buyer asked me which style to start out with I wouldn’t hesitate to say the Mid Star. You can’t go wrong with this style. Plus out of all the GG I see on the street I feel like I see this style the least. I most often see the Low Tops. However, I personally think that those who have been wearing the brand for years and are long time GG lovers know that the Mid Stars are the style to be seen in. So if you are on the fence go for it. They truly are the coolest, most practical, most comfortable and most versatile style out there.
Love your taste!! Love your GG’s!!!!
